Description On July 24, 1715, after more than a two-year delay a twelve or thirteen-ship convoy left Cuba for Spain loaded with silver and gold treasure. They traveled up the coast of Florida and on the 30th of July ran straight into a hurricane sinking the entire fleet. In the late 1950s modern salvage began on the 1715 fleet.
